Loved the location and the view! Very easy skiing in and out. Furniture was very comfortable. Property is a little dated but the owner has done a good job keeping it fresh.
Great overall experience

Overall, our experience was wonderful. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and the condo had excellent accommodations. The condo felt a bit dirty (recommendations include mattress pad should get washed between guests, get rid of the decorative pillows as they were dirty, replace carpet with hard floors, fresh coat of paint/caulk cracks). We had a great time and would definitely recommend the location to anyone.

The view of the mountains and the chair lift were the best part! Everything was clean except some of the utensils and dishes. One of the chairs at the dining room table has a leg that is broken and could be dangerous if you’re not aware of it. For a quick trip it met our needs.

Check in process was very convenient. We noticed upon entering that the room had a smell of a stale old house. The heating units were on full blast in the living room and the master bedroom when we arrived and it was much too warm. We turned them off for the remainder of stay and had to crack the windows from time to time. I wonder if the middle units get more heat from surrounding units. Would have been helpful to have a fan of some sort to help cool down enough to sleep comfortably. Bed side fan or ceiling fan. The view of grandfather mountain and the access to ski lift were amazing. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. The bathrooms didn’t have a hairdryer like it said. The place felt clean but could use new shower curtains and bedspreads. The storage closet outside the rooms provided a nice way to store your ski equipment at night.

Coming from Florida the state of North Carolina was beautiful and staying at the Sugar Mountain Country Club was amazing. They're in such a great location just at the top of the mountain and right on the ski slopes, the unit I stayed in was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a stellar view down the mountain. Hope was amazing with my reservation and with keeping me up to date with local attractions and businesses.

The layout of the condo unit was perfect for our family of four (consisting of two adults, one infant, and one toddler). The sleeper sofa was reasonably comfortable. The kitchen and dinning room configuration was conductive for entertaining relatively large groups. We had a few friends join us for dinner (in the condo unit) and had sufficient room to entertain 11 people (6 adults and 5 children). The finish-out (countertops, flooring, and furniture) in the condo was also nice. The location of the condo was ideal - close to the rec center and close to the ski lift (and had a great view of the ski area).
In my opinion, this condo community would enhance its overall owner/renter experience if a restaurant (or at least a convenience store) was available on-site.
No lift means not a good deal

Don't get me wrong, I loved the place I stayed at. This is my second year visiting this area. Last year, they blew snow and the lift in front of my window was open. That made this location a perfect ski-in ski-out location. I could not have asked for anything more. For that reason I came back this year, but this year, for some reason, they didn't blow snow and the lift was closed. Walking to the snow, or driving, or even taking the shuttle were all inconvenient. For that, I could have stayed elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. Needless to say that if they can't guarantee that the lift is going to be open, this place is not worth it. That is why this was my last trip to Sugar Mountain. They may never notice it, but both Sugar Mountain and this lodging lost my business for good.
Great location, will stay again!

Booking & check in was great. Nice staff. This is one of the closest units to the pool which was great for our toddler. Pool & hot tub was so clean and nice having carpet around it! Sauna was nice too. Bathrooms near pool had shower which was handy. It was also nice to be able to rent our skis from the office. Just purchase your lift ticket at Sugar before you drive up the mtn to this complex. Unit was pretty clean. Toliet wasn't flushing but maint. man fixed quickly after we called. Bathroom outlets got tripped but main. man fixed that too. Nice view out of the unit. U do have to climb about 7 steps to access the unit. Ski locker is outside the unit door which was handy. I would reccomend the owner placing a door mat in front of the main door as well as the sliding door. It snowed so much that everytime we went on balcony we were dragging snow back inside on the carpet. Needs a mat! Beds slept good. Pillows are flat which we were ok with. Water pressure in the shower isn't great but not the worst we've seen. Bring pool towels since they're not provided. Awesome ski in/ski out condo!!!

This was our first time to stay here and first time to Sugar Mountain. It was a great experience. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is excellent and our condo was in nice condition. I really liked that you can easily hit the slopes from the condo.

had a great time.
melondie at the office was wonderful, very helpful
even though we received about 2 feet of snow, the parking areas and the main entry road was always cleared.
it was nice to have an exclusive rental shop on top of the mountain. carter does a great job helping to match equipment to your needs.
look forward to the next snowstorm.

If you love to ski down the mountain this is the place for you! It is located at the top of the blue run. Rent ski/snowboards from here! MUCH more convenient and less expensive!! Condo was fine. Mattresses in our unit need replacement. Guests services easy to work with and friendly.
